Lanaudière is the buffer zone between Montreal and the far north, less frequented than the Laurentians, more accessible than the Mauricie. It is a mix of agricultural plains in the south, deep lakes in the centre (Saint-Donat, Saint-Côme, Mandeville), and protected boreal forests in the north (Mont-Tremblant National Park on the east side, Sept-Chutes Regional Park). Our cottages for rent in Lanaudière are concentrated around Lake Archambault in Saint-Donat, Lake Maskinongé, and the villages of Saint-Côme and Sainte-Émélie-de-l'Énergie. Many are on private or semi-private lakes, perfect for groups seeking tranquility, without the Sunday night crowds on Highway 15. Saint-Donat is also a gateway to Mont Garceau (downhill skiing) and Mont-Tremblant National Park on the Lac-Monroe side: hiking access in summer, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in winter. Direct booking, local concierge service, CITQ permit in good standing.
