Chalets in the Heart of Mauricie

Where La Mauricie National Park meets the Saint-Maurice River — endless forests, quiet lakes, and the kind of stillness that stays with you long after you leave.

The wild heart of Quebec, between two cities.

The Mauricie region occupies the geographic center of inhabited Quebec, between Montreal and Quebec City, between the Laurentians and the Eastern Townships. It is also one of the most forested regions in the province, dominated by the Saint-Maurice River, which flows from the wild Upper Mauricie to Trois-Rivières. The Mauricie National Park (536 km²) is its centerpiece, with 150 lakes and 70 km of scenic roads. Our cottages for rent in the Mauricie region are concentrated around Saint-Alexis-des-Monts (the largest provider of cottages on private lakes in Quebec), Lac-Mékinac, Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc (gateway to the national park), and Grandes-Piles (Saint-Maurice Valley). They are typically 20 to 30% less expensive than a comparable cottage in the Laurentians, ideal for those who prioritize seclusion and nature over skiing and resort life. Book directly, without Airbnb commissions, with local concierge service and all CITQ permits in order. Our team covers the Mauricie region through our partners in Trois-Rivières and Saint-Alexis.
