Chalets in Quebec City (Old Quebec and surrounding areas)

Where history meets the mountains.

The National Capital Region offers something no other Quebec region can: a 400-year-old UNESCO World Heritage Site just 20 minutes from alpine ski resorts and a majestic river. Stoneham and Mont-Sainte-Anne deliver skiing in under 30 minutes from Old Quebec; Île d'Orléans extends the Côte-de-Beaupré with 35 km of agricultural landscapes, vineyards, and microbreweries. Our chalets for rent in the Quebec City region typically combine views of the St. Lawrence River or the Laurentian Mountains, a private spa, and quick access to year-round activities. Most of our properties in Lac-Beauport and Stoneham are less than 5 minutes from the ski lifts, while those on Île d'Orléans and Saint-Ferréol-les-Neiges offer a more tranquil rural setting. Book directly, without Airbnb commissions, with local concierge service and all CITQ permits in order. Our team covers the Capitale-Nationale region from our partners in Beaupré and Stoneham.

Things to do in the National Capital Region

Skiing at Mont-Sainte-Anne and Stoneham

Mont-Sainte-Anne (71 trails, 625 m vertical drop) and Stoneham (43 trails, night skiing). Typical season: early December to mid-April. The Mountain Collective pass and the IKON Pass provide access to both.

Old Quebec and fortifications

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the only intact fortified complex north of Mexico. Place Royale, Château Frontenac, Petit-Champlain, Plains of Abraham. Allow at least one day.

Île d'Orléans — The Flavours Route

A 67km loop around the island: 28 local producers (vineyards, cider houses, cheese dairies, chocolate shops). Ideal for a day trip by bike in summer or by car in autumn.

Montmorency Falls

84 m high, 30 m higher than Niagara Falls. Cable car, suspension bridge, via ferrata. 15 minutes from Old Quebec.

Best Season

The region experiences its peak tourist season in winter (skiing + Carnival, late January-early February) and summer (high season in the city). Autumn is underrated: foliage in September-October, lower prices, and easy access to activities without the crowds.

From Montreal

2:45 to 3:00 via Highway 40 or 20.

From Quebec

You're here — the Capitale-Nationale region is the greater Quebec City area. It takes 15 to 30 minutes to reach most of our cottages from the city centre.
